Caring For Your Jewelry

Tips To Keep Your Jewelry Beautiful

Just as each piece of jewelry in our collection is crafted with meticulous care and attention to detail, we believe in equipping you with the knowledge to maintain their beauty and brilliance. Whether you’re a seasoned jewelry enthusiast or new to the world of handcrafted gems, please consider these essential tips and tricks for caring for your jewelry. From everyday maintenance to special care instructions for different gemstones and metals, you’ll find everything you need to keep your jewelry looking as stunning as the day you first laid eyes on it.

  • Be careful not to expose your jewelry to excessive heat and light.
  • Keep your jewelry away from chemicals. Exposure can damage or discolor precious metals including gold, silver, and platinum and may harm some colored gems. Examples of irritants are hairspray, lotions, perfumes, and household cleaners. Remove jewelry before exercising and before bed.
  • To safely clean your jewelry, most colored gems can be cleaned with warm tap water, mild dish soap (that does not contain detergents) and a soft tooth brush or lint-free cloth. Rinse off any remaining dish soap and pat dry. Give extra care to delicate or porous gems such as turquoise and pearls. Jewelry knotted with silk should be laid flat to dry as silk when wet can stretch.
  • Store unworn jewelry in a jewelry chest, box, or pouch safely away from the possibility of chipping or scratching.

Follow these basic care guidelines and your jewelry should stay beautiful and in like new condition
